Uptown is working with Big Brothers and Big Sisters Canada www.bbbsvictoria.com to celebrate the uniqueness of every girl across Canada. This comprehensive program is called BeYou. www.beyougirl.ca Uptown is pleased to provide year round facilities to this organization for their GO Girls program this program helps those struggling with mental health and self-esteem issues in our area benefit for group mentoring and education.
During BeYou week at Uptown, various activities will be held in the Go Girls lounge here at Uptown (Next to Forever 21 on the Douglas Side of Uptown Blvd), and are FREE and open to young females aged 8-14. ‘Dream, Girl,’ movie showing in Town Plaza. Bring your blanket and fill up on popcorn and starlight as we premiere Dream,Girl here in Victoria. Enjoy nail polish applications and glitter tattoos by donation. All proceeds go to fund the Big Brothers Big Sisters Go Girls program.
